Freeze Issue [FIXED]
The game runs very smoothly but like every 20 seconds or so, i get 10s+ Screen Freezes (sound plays on)
As it is now the game is basically unplayable.

Any advice?

Same here. It's a game from 2010 for crying out loud and runs on UE3. I've never had performance issues with an UE3 game. Pretty as it is, the game is still not particulary graphically intensive.
I tried killed the blur effect but that did nothing.

I've also tried to allow the game the usage of more than 2GB ram.
So far no success...

Playing on a Asus K55V - an i5 + Geforce GT 630m... 8 Gb ram. I know, my rig might not be the best but I'm able to run games like Skyrim with no fps drops with decent high settings

Fixed it:

Oddly enough:
Just download Skyrim antifreeze patch (Google it), you just need 2 files from archive.
d3d9.dll and enbpatch.ini.
Put this files in your ...\Enslaved\Binaries\Win32\ and run the game. This method worked for me and the game is running smoothly now.

I don't know how you discovered this fix, but thank you! None of the other suggestions helped at all, but this worked.

Amazing...I've been trying to find a way to fix the crazy stuttering for so long. This immediately did the trick. Thanks much.

This fix appeared to work for me as I was able to get past one part that I kept freezing on. But now I'm getting stuck on the part in the first chapter where it is teaching you a combo with Left Mouse Button and some other key. I'm fighting the mechs and don't know how to get unstuck. Any help would be great, thanks!

Thanks for the Skyrim patch tip, it works fine now!

I am still having the same issue even after the suggested fix. Not sure what to do now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

also stuck on the left mouse and space bar combo for the sweep .. appears it will not recog the left mouse button for me at all. std attack with the l mouse does nothing but F key works fine.

Correct. Skyrim uses a different engine. But the antifreeze patch doesn't patch the engine, it patches DirectX, which both use.
