I played T3, T4, T5 and if my PC could - I would also play T6... and honestly, start new one after finishing older one. It's A LOT of fun and you don;t spoil fun by "oh I miss *the thing* from newer one" - and most tactics work perfectly on newer ones too.
Also, add me as a friend if you decide to buy T5 gold, I need multiplayer achievements :<
You can get the base game for 15 dollars on Gamesplanet which is a legitimate website.

Or keep looking for bundles on Humble Bundle. They've had multiple Kalypso bundles in the past were you got most of Tropico 6 for cheap
This is false. I have over 1500+ games on steam and buy off kinguin frequently.
This is no better than piracy since developers and publishers aren't the ones distributing these keys there and are not profiting off them or even making a loss because the reseller sells the once-discounted key (or by exploiting regional pricing) for a higher price.
If you care about getting keys that are guaranteed to not be invalidated whilst actually supporting the developers of the games you enjoy, check out IsThereAnyDeal and CheapShark for officially authorised key sellers.
It has happened but its very rare. I am speaking from my own experience. I have no ties to kinguin. I would not worry about it.
My advice - start with the cheaper version and move on from there :)
