Bought the DLC for the Music
The DLC is overpriced. But the new Regea and ethereal Tropican paradise track is priceless. Anybody know how to export these songs into MP3 format, or at least kow the artists who made them so I can download them? As much as I hate the DLC money grubbing, the soundtrack calms me down in the end... Never would have attained the hunger for latin jazz otherwise.

On the latest DLC, I think it should have been priced around $10 for the latest aqua expansion. Most of the other "additions" should have been priced around $5. One map, one mission and a building? Yeah that's $5. This latest one has a decent campaign and about 9 unigue buildings. Not quite the modern expansion from Tropico 4, so I put that in the $10 range. My best advise is to wait for the next seasonal steam sale until they start pricing it correctly out the gate.

If Kalypso really wants to make amend, release a free DLC of say, 6-8 more songs for the soundtrack of the cilbre of what has currently been released. Because as much as I hate the way the DLC has been priced, I Freaking LOVE the soundtrack updates. Maybe also explore importing custom MP3s into the playlist? I wonder how evil El Presidente will become with Amon Amarth and Slayer blasting in the background...

:tropicanstar: To get the Music from Tropico 5 you'll need the HPK Archiver (at the end of the post), the .hpk files are located at Tropico 5/Packs/
:tropicanstar: The Music is converted in .opus format, so you'll need to find a converter for that (can't currently provide one)
:tropicanstar: To get your own Music in the Game just create folder called "Music" in the Tropico 5 Main Folder. The Music Files you put there need to be converted to .opus, so keep that in mind.
:tropicanstar: Bonus: Since all Heanimont Games are using the same Archive System you can easily extract the Music from Tropico 3 & 4 and listen to them in Tropico 5.

What Open Directory?
If you mean where the Tropico 5 folder is actually located, it's Steam\SteamApps\common\Tropco 5

Thanks! Who are these artists and where can we listen to just them? And similar artists to these?

Do you know if the DLC tracks are in a different folder or everything is in music?

Also wanted to add there are tracks on every DLC you have to extract which brings the total to much more for tropic 5. Its a hassle but worth it my favorite song, "♥♥♥♥♥ Traveller" is on DLC 8 think.... Will update in case anyone still cares.
