gnu/linux mesa support
Hi,
The game runs with the catalyst driver.
But is it really pertinent for the rendering?
Because I wonder why the mesa driver would not be sufficient to render the game. When running with mesa, I get a warning that my GFX card is not powerful enough (radeon hd 7970 :steelgolem: ).
I know it's a matter of using recent opengl features. Any chance to have a rendering backend for mesa in the near future?

Doesn't seem like this is going to happen. I was enjoying the first stage of the game even though some effects were missing, but I really wish I could play it through without changing drivers :(

This does need to happen – I expect that fglrx will be dropped as of the next major SteamOS release, and it's already been dropped by some other distributions. This effectively leaves older AMD cards supported only by Mesa.

I'm using Mesa on recent AMD hardware. Technically, I could use the closed-source driver, but why should I be required to do that?

Selecting low-quality graphics does work. The problem appears to be GL_EXT_gpu_shader4, which the game shouldn't be checking for given OpenGL 3.0 or later[stackoverflow.com].

Full-screen mode is broken on multi-monitor setups.

(Yes, I know. Necro. I don't care, in this instance.)
