Waking Mars - Good similarities!
I just wrote my review. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough characters to write nearly enough about the game as I wanted.

Regardless, I'll leave this here.

I really love the way you can put eggs into nests, and control the wild-life in each different areas! Like Waking Mars, it makes for some great interactions. It's great to "plant the seed" and then come back and see the chaos arise, haha!

I guess it's a sort of emergent gameplay -- For anyone who liked this aspect of Waking Mars, feel free to give this one a go. It's less about documenting and exploring each animal, but it has its strengths (and even stronger weaknesses, in my experience, but hey...).

If anyone knows of game with similar mechanics to this, feel free to leave them below. Cheers!

You might like a YouTube video by Game Maker's Toolkit (GMTK) called "The Rise of the Systemic Game" (here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnpAAX9CkIc ). I watched it not long after starting this game and kept thinking about it. It will mention other emergent-style games.
He also has a vid called "Telling Stories with Systems" that might also be good, though I haven't seen it yet.
