Here's why I refunded FH5 and am not buying this, in the hope the devs can earn the sale:

* Fh5 was broken in an update, and support's response was "we do not offer support if the game does not launch". Obviously unacceptable, and resulted in having to take drastic steps to get a refund outside the window. That can't happen anymore.
* The pricing is laughable, no video game is worth $175, period - and the last game's expansions and DLC were all crap, and you knew they were crap! Reheated leftovers done half-arsed.
* The politics are so intrusive and off-putting. We don't all live in the USA, we do not care about your political war.
* The enforcement of anti cheating and anti griefing is totally nonexistent and makes online play a chore. The leaderboards are irrelevant as a result. Enforcement of political ideals on painters is brutal and swift,showing the devs can enforce the rules, they just don't care about cheating or griefing.
* The handling model has become so dedicated to the meta that it doesn't even really feel like a car game anymore; you just look for the straightest line possible and blast over and through everything on that line as if there's nothing there.
* Performance creep combined with the worsening handling model has made everything past an hour into the game extremely repetitive and boring with all cars being stupid fast, exacerbating the above handling problem. You aren't even trying to be precise or get the perfect racing line, you just hurl your missile at the next checkpoint and wait.
* The unskippable voice lines especially at the start should never have been implemented. Everyone hates them, and the devs know it, but they continue to ram them down our throats. It's in the top 3 complaints by players dating back to FH3 and adds nothing good to the game.
* Reheated leftovers for car models. The devs are using some models as old as Forza Motorsport 4. Many of these are paid DLC. Extremely shady and misleading to customers.
* Terrible AI. The AI has had serious problems with ramming and cheating for years. None of these problems have been addressed. They are exacerbated by the handling and performance creep issues as well. Ironically the AI is also way too easy; it has no ability or skill outside ramming and cheating. I recall FH1/2 having better AI than FH5.
* Poor priorities selecting cars to implement in-game. The Devs regularly eschew cult classic performance and sports cars in favour of economy/off road slop. Many cars have been outright removed compared to previous titles, and clearly not because the models are outdated as PG is happy to use old models all the time.


I could go on, but that is probably enough to start with.
If the devs want me to even consider a sale, all that gets fixed first.
