Very little mistake : in the official missions menu, the 5th is called "Appartement de la Mozart Street". It has to be "Appartement de Mozart Street" or "Appartement de la rue Mozart". But not "de la Mozart Street".

Another mistake in the missions menu, the 52nd is called "Luigi's Diner". It's in english.... So it has to be "Le diner de Luigi". And the 57th is called "Jour de paie au labo", it has to be "Jour de paye au labo".

" [...] à condition que l'adversaire ne porte pas de blindage "
is better to say
"à condition que l'adversaire ne porte pas de protection balistique"

ADP X635 Presentation :
" Suffisament compact pour passer les portes ,cette ADP de style classique conserve une précisio nà longue portée sans perdre en puissance d'impact "

===> " Suffisament compactE pour passer les portes ,cette ADP de style classique conserve une précisioN [space] à longue portée sans perdre en puissance d'impact "

Compacte > une arme
....précision à longue....

Pistolet Veterinary
it's Pistolet vétérinaire

In utility pouch
- Assourdissante => OK but...
- Grenade à billes => just say Grenade or say Grenade à billes and Grenade assourdissante

Armor
Blindage => it's better to say Protection balistique
"Blindage" it's a simple translation blindage it's more for vehicule

other notes :
-Translation not available On steam (game settings) , just in game option menu
- many time in weapon presentation " le XXXX (weapon)" tire des balles, it's better to say "tire des cartouches" Bullet = balle => bullet that when the ammunition is really fired and leaving the barrel

Thanks for the notifications. We'll run these by our translation teams, where unclear to us.

Note that some of the issues are known and accepted because of available text space limitations. All text should be able to fit interface.

But we'll still run them through our team.

Arctic Sunrise, you've already earned your keep :)

For the grenades their real name are :
-Flash => Grenade assourdissante
-Stinger => Grenade de désencerclement
but if it's too long you can use :
-Grenade aveuglante
-Grenade à billes

Thats still too long as the grenade names show up as the "current selection" in the Utility Pouch.

How much of a problem do you think that is?
Madlad 28 Oct, 2015 @ 5:12am
Flash and Stinger can stay in english, in all videogames in french when you need to throw a flashbang or a Stinger, the game ask you to "envoyer une flash/stinger" and not "une grenade assourdissante".
Also the veterinary has a very low firerate, in the french trad it's writed "une cadence de tir très elevée" which it means a very highfirerate, "une cadence de tir très faible" would be a better traduction.

For the stinger : there is a lot of traduction in french, but the « Hornet's Nest » (nid de frelon) is for me the best short trad.

It's absolutly not a big problem, for "Grenade à billes" I think it's better to keep it because "Grenade" will make people maybe think of Fragmentation grenade.
"Assourdissante" is if the grenade make people deaf and "Aveuglante" is if the grenade make people blind. I know that in the description it's saied that the grenade do both. Maybe for better understanding the effect it's better to use "Aveuglante", but both are good.

Grenade à billes, it's a frag grenade and offensive grenade category :P
you can call "Grenade à billes", grenade (but imprecise generic name),or grenade offensive, or grenade de désencerclement (riot, hostile demonstration)

whatsoever deafening (assourdissante) or blinding (aveuglante) grenades, the two effects combine. It's just one aspect more than another accentuate.

Hmmm, "Luigi's Diner" is more like a restaurant name. Does that apply then?
Hank Mundorf 2 Nov, 2015 @ 7:29am
I agree: there is no need to translate the restaurant name, as the game obviously takes place in the US and that would be silly to localize it.

Also, "jour de paie" is as correct as "jour de paye".

"Luigi's Diner" is a proper noun. So even if it was in France, it would still be the same. Just like "Starbucks" are still "Starbucks" in Paris. Or "Victoria's Secrets" (This example sounds better for some reason).
Arctic Sunrise 2 Nov, 2015 @ 10:39am
it's better to say : "jour de paye", it's more french
Madlad 2 Nov, 2015 @ 11:01am
Not really, i hear people every day saying "jour de paie" and as many people saying "jour de paye".
Arctic Sunrise 2 Nov, 2015 @ 11:04am
more people say " jour de paye", il n'y a qu'a regarder sur Internet ^^
