About DMC

DMC is a modification for Delver made in a collaborative effort by Reise92 and TheNite, along with the help of various community members

Basically it is a collection of fixes, additions and improvements that you can learn about in greater detail in the readme, or from some of the screenshots. To some degree it does make the game harder, so don't say we didn't warn you!

Downloads

There are now two versions of DMC available for download: One for those opted into the beta branch build, and one for those using the current stable build.

You will need a decompressor such as 7-Zip or WinZip to extract the files. Be sure to take a quick look at the readme included in the download.

DMC + ED by TheNite[www.dropbox.com] (No compatibility patch required)

Delver Modding

Other modifications which you may find interesting to follow the development of and give some feedback.


There are compatibility patches that allows this to be used in combination with Extended Dungeon or the Reversion Texture Pack as well.

Just follow the instructions included in the readme to install them both together! Only try installing two at any time, the compatibility patch would likely need a compatiblity patch if there were to be all three running at once.

Changelog

A really short version of the changelog:

  • Two new floors added just before the Cave section, transition floors known as the Bandit Den.

  • Two floors added before the Sewer section, some Ice Caves for all to explore.

  • Poison Wand: Inflicts Poison damage on the target, as well as a poison status effect.

  • Cure Wand: Recovers 5 health for the user.

  • Rogue: A tougher, faster and stronger variant of the Thief found within the Dungeon section

  • Goblin Mage: Another much faster Goblin that can be seen amongst the sewers section - this time a mage who is not very bright, nor does he deal much damage with magic. However, he can tank much more damage than most mages and still packs a dangerous punch in melee range.

  • Cleric: A magic user and healer located within the Dungeon section.

  • Cross Bone: A custom made crossbow forged out of the bones of the fallen!

Found a bug. The version of DMC+ED linked here references music files as .ogg when they're all .mp3; editing assets/data/dungeons.dat and replacing ".ogg" with ".mp3" fixes the issue.

Thanks, updated it to fix .ogg sounds, added new cave tiles, and added the new cave tile textures. =)

Im no sure if you guys can help me, but I seem to be experienceing a problem with the mod pack. The game boots up fine, but the ground, walls, weapons and such, are all white. No matter what I try I cant seem to fix it. Any help would be appreciated

Sadly it is an issue with your graphics card as far as I know, and its unable to load the textures because they have been resized or something. Sorry. =(

It might be worth trying to extract everything that goes in the assets folder from delver.jar first, then unzipping the DMC into that. I know the game is supposed to just use the assets folder as an override, but doing this fixed some issues for me.

Any news on when we'll see a DMC+ED Update? Currently unplayable as the map gen is bugged.

(It goes off-map meaning it's just a rather abruptly ending corridor)

Alas, young rooster, the mod will not be updated anymore. But, fear not! People can still add onto the mod and make it a apart of DMC. So, fear not, I guess...

Alright, DMC has been updated with a few new things like assassin armor and bear traps. DMC + ED is also updated now, sorry for taking so long. XP

Bug with cure wands and +HP items. Cure wand only heals to base HP max, not taking into account any +HP items you are wearing.

Ok, so you guys have a minor graphical bug...atleast in DMC+ED (I can't speak for the normal DMC) Basically the Assasins Pants use the hammer texture...I took a screenshot of it if you wanna check it out. Anyway it was a pretty easy fix...I broke open the code and fixed it for my game... :) here is my fix (although I doubt you guys need it) :)
