Depending on what you have done previously ... not that much, since the main story content is build around you doing missions to:

A) recruit all companions
B) do their additional missions, to secure their loyalty

... after that, the story is about you, heading towards the finale (a couple hours).

Independently from that, you have the choice to do all the side missions and extra content (min 20+ hours?).

All depends on what kind of experience you are looking for, to have.

Do you mean after getting all the companions together?

Yes, getting all the companions is really quick and easy, and this game is really short if you don't do every single little side mission, assignment and explore every planet.
