Part 1 chapter 4 too dark
Part one chapter 4 seems broken-dark. Even in rooms with open roofs and sunlight streaming in, I can't see anything without a flashlight. Before this chapter I rarely had to worry about batteries but I'm just past the 2 carts and i've burned through at least 10 batteries just this chapter. I've turned gamma to the max, but the issue is with the baked lighting in the level so on max gamma I just have these blotches of grey all over my screen. I think this is a bug that has occured later because footage I watch of chapter 4 is much much lighter.

I love the game up to this point but this is making me more frustrated and it's taken me much much much longer to finish this chapter just due to this lighting bug. I want to be frustrated and challenged by the puzzles, not bad lighting.

Can you show show picture of the broken lighting?

Yeah that's much better. I'm running this off a laptop so my settings aren't that high, but I don't see a setting in the video menu that would affect lighting like this.

And just to clarify, the laptop isn't a slouch by any stretch, it runs fallout 4 with about 70 mods at a stable 30fps 720p

I'm trying to figure out what causes that, or when/how did the lighting break.
Might already be fixed in Part III, as all levels has been recompiled.

Good to hear. I did managed to slog my way through chapter 4 tonight but that running section at the end was pretty brutal, even with the flashlight out I had trouble finding that switch on the wall to cut power to those cables, and before that finding the breaker by the barrels was pitch-dark.

I can imagine.

I am having this issue as well unfortunately :( Straight after loading level 4 there is a drastic change in the brightness/contrast. Makes darker areas very hard to see and is kinda game breaking for me.

Swizzler have you gotten past level 4, does it get any better after that level?

I am on a windows 10 pc running i7 4700k and 980GTX.

Have uploaded some before and after screenshots right at the spot where chapter 4 loads.

Yes after that chapter it gets alot better. Dang, I was hoping the part 3 update would have fixed the issue so I could go back and get things I missed.
