Could you send me the saved game where this happens? You can find your saved games by right-clicking INFRA on Steam and selecting "Properties", "Local Files" and "Browse Local Files...". The saves are stored in the "infra/SAVE" folder. I only need the relevant ".sav" file.

If there are any ".mdmp" crash dumps in the game folder, please send those to me as well. They can be found next to "infra.exe" in the game folder.

I can't seem to be able to reproduce the issue, so I'm not sure what's happening here. Have you tried verifying the integrity of the game files? You can do so in the same "Local Files" tab on Steam by selecting "Verify Integrity of Game Files...".

That's strange. I verified the inregretiy before I posted initially and it made no difference, but I just did it again, and it downloaded 125mb. Now she finishes her sentence and I can pick up the letter and continue without issue (though alt-tabbing seems to cause a black screen).

There's a technical limitation in the game engine which causes alt-tabbing to take a long time (if the game is not installed on an SSD it can take even longer). If you find yourself alt-tabbing a lot, I'd suggest switching the display mode to "borderless", which is more or less the same, but alt-tabbing is instant. This can be changed in the video options menu of INFRA.
