Please use the Steam facility to check the integrity of your game files.
Please use Windows update to check you have the most recent versions of Windows and your drivvers.
You're not one of many reporting this problem. I'm not saying nobody else has ever had it, just that it's not a known bug in the game or anything like that.
Something on these two levels (possibly water effects) causes rendering hiccups and crashes the game; there are many reports WRT this issue on forums and elsewhere.
Start the game's program but do not CONTINUE or load a saved game. In the Options, reduce all your video settings to minimum, as if you had an old computer with a slow graphics card and low resolution monitor. Now CONTINUE.
Did that fix it ?
