Game Crashing On Startup
Asking here because the people in the discord server are a bunch of idiots who just dont respond to anything, and google has literally zero info on this issues, but my game just refuses to open when clicking play, it starts, says playing then stops, tried verifying, tried a reinstall, cant get a log file to generate or any save file info to load

The problem you have is not one reported by other people. We do have a list of common problems with the game, and yours isn't on it, so we don't have a ready answer for you. And from what you write, we're pretty sure your game isn't corrupt, the problem is something to do with your setup. The fact that the game isn't even creating a blank log file means that the crash happens before the game even has control of your computer.

I would normally recommend checking to see that your version of Windows is up-to-date, including optional installs that the 'Update' panel recommends.

I would also want to check that you haven't set preferences for a different computer (perhaps one you had back when you first played the game. This might make the game try to select, for example, a screen resolution your hardware cannot supply. You do this by turning 'Steam Cloud Saves' off, then finding and deleting all log and configuration files in the INFRA folder.

Hope this helps.

I havent played the game before this so i have no files to delete in my steam cloud, but i did update some cumulative files for windows, sadly it didnt fix anything and the issue still persists. My gpu drivers are up to date as well
