Three questions having finished the game

This whole thread is SPOILERS. Don't read unless you want stuff spoiled.

I was going to make three posts then decided it was silly. I've finished the game with the medium ending (kept my job, offered nuclear powerplant job, no secret room) and won't be replaying soon, so don't be afraid to spoil stuff for me.

1) What was the message on the blanket over the first body I found ? Much later I found a big decoding rectangle in a bunker but I couldn't match them up easily and wanted to move on.

2) Near the end of the game (chapter 8 ?) I encountered a big old fancy ship with a safe. Through one of the windows I saw a body in a bed. Was he asleep or dead ?

3) In a horribly complicated chapter on a housing estate (chapter 8 ?) I found Rob a piece of metal and he thanked me and promised me a present. I never figured out what it was, though I found a note later saying he'd given me something. What present did Rob give me ?

Let's see... as far as I know number one is still a mystery as to who the body is although we have deciphered most of what the message says. In the guides you can read about that search for the answer to the number code. And that grid revealed only part of the answer

Current progress:
"I (C3) (F1) THE (F2) (C4) (E4) TELL THE RIGHT THREE WORDS TO THE RIGHT PERSON"

The man on the ship I think was asleep. I don't recall any other murders being part of Mark's travels

and finally Rob presents you with a fancy coffee maker which you find in your deluxe apartment if you did an excellent job of finding all the documents and fixed everything. Unfortunately you only get to use it once or twice before the darn think breaks down. : )
