VHS tapes at the Central Metro Station (Possible spoilers)
Happened to come by this today, thought I'd share this here.

At the Central Metro Station there's some kind of a meeting room with a projector that has a VHS player hooked up to it. There's a bookshelf in the corridor that goes behind that room, and I noticed that it had a VHS tape on it. Popped the tape in and powered the projector. Some video of a spinning fans shadow appeared, but there was a distinct beeping sound playing too, which was obvious Morse code.

So, I recorded some video, exported and cleaned up the audio and got this message:

-.-- --- ..-
-.-. .- -. -. --- -
..-. .. -. -..
.-. .. --. .... -
.- -. ... .-- . .-.
--- .-.
.-. .. --. .... -
--.- ..- . ... - .. --- -.
-... ..- -
.. ..-.
-.-- --- ..-
-.-. .- -.
..-. .. -. -..
.... .. -- -.-- --- ..-
-.-. .- -.
.- ... -.-

And that in turn translated to:

YOU CANNOT FIND RIGHT ANSWER OR RIGHT QUESTION BUT IF YOU CAN FIND HIM YOU CAN ASK

Maybe it's some kind of a hint to something larger, or it could be just some kind of easter egg, but maybe someone more active in discovering the secrets of INFRA will figure out what this is.

Fantastic work. This belongs in the secret guide- it's definitely related to the (mostly solved) thing I've got written up there.

Nice work nobbie!

I missed the morse the first time I watched the video - didn't have the volume up high enough to notice it! I went back and listened again - there's more to the message! It pauses for a while, then there are two more segments to the message with a brief pause between (spoiler alert!)

MAYBE HE GIVES YOU

THIS PLACE IS YOU (CAN?) E E E E AH

I'm a little uncertain about the "CAN" before the string of E's and signature - I've used a notch filter to strip out the creepy sound effects, but it still sounds like there is a distinct pause after YOU, then -.-. .- -., then the string of E finishing with the initials. It's possible the sound effects are messing with the spacing - it would make more sense as "THIS PLACE IS YOUR..."

To me, this looks like the sender of the message is Alex Hartman - he paused for a moment after the big chunk of text, then starts to comment on what happens if you ask "him" - then pauses again and starts a different thought, but perhaps he was interrupted?

I ran the game file through fldigi, a software application for ham radio that does DSP and can decode Morse Code as well as lots of other things - it keeps saying "THIS PLACE IS YOU CAN" as well, though it's interpreting the following dots as the telegraph prosign "SN" ( ...-.) followed by the initials AH. SN is morse shorthand for "message is understood". That's not the right prosign for signing off, which would be SK, but I can only clean up the creepified file so much. I wouldn't be surprised if the Infra team generated the transmission using fldigi and sent it off to the audio guys to add all the scary stuff :-)

Huh, I probably should've been a bit more patient while recording. I simply stopped the tape when the beeping stopped for a while as I thought that was the message.

Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I admit I thought I might have had a second helping of the guy from Tunnel B2, but it is soemthing to look into.

I did find a third tape but that one appears to be a brief bit of static and then it stops. Check the filing cabinets in the projector room.

There's a VHS tape in the office building right after the steel mill. I couldn't find anywhere to use it in Part 1, so I carried it all the way to part 2. (If you're holding something when part 1 shifts to part 2 then you are still holding it when the new part starts up). I kept toting that thing around till the train ride. Unfortunately this is where I lost it cause the maintenace train threw the vhs tape around the cabin and wouldn't let me hold the VHS when the train moved to the new area, so I lost the tape. Thus, I wasn't able to hold the tape long enough to reach a VCR. Also, I couldn't change map while holding the tape cause bringing up the debug console drops any items held. The tape is probably just a duplicate of one of the existing tapes, but I was hoping I could find some secret.

Omg I had the same idea but I'm glad I didn't bother since I see it would of been pointless to try.

Welp
Now I know what I will be doing the next time I play INFRA
