"Bringing people together" they said. Banning people, they did.
This is not GG. This is Towerfall.
Also this thread will end up locked very shortly, I imagine.
I don't need to support Anita to think that it's stupid to avoid games because of the developer's opinions.
That's why I still liked FEZ, even though Phil Fish is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid-ass ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I can see the lack of online mode as a legitimate reason not to buy the game. Not everyone has friends to play with on a consistent basis.
If, to a developer, she's provided a new way to look at things, and Matt has taken this and made his game more accessible to more people because of it, I'm fine with it. I love Towerfall, and evidentally, he didn't take EVERYTHING she says and put it in the game, because this game doesn't feel anything like an explosion of feminism.
So however her view helped, and whatever Matt did, Towerfall is still very much Towerfall. If he's going to contribute some of that success to someone who's views I dislike, then that's fine with me. Her views were evidentally useful, and I really don't have a problem with that.
That is to say, Matt found some of the good in her, whilst not noticing the bad. For instance, kickstarter controversy.
And everyone overreacted to it.
I hate the internet sometimes. The stupidest little spark can start a massive flamewar.
At least the Internet stays entertaining, right? :P
Edit. Haha... Dev-out. I didn't get much sleep. :P
Uh-huh, yup, that wasn't a horribly stupid and irrelevant thing to say at all.
I suppose it doesn't matter what he says, though. He already stated Matt's going to have him pay to play a game with Anita Sarkeesian !
Have you been reading or comprehending the posts? Like, at all?
I think it was a stupid decision for Matt to put in Anita, because (assuming rumors are true, I'm not sure what to believe on the internet) she's a horrible person, and people scream in anguish at the mere mention of her. Although I sort of see why he did it, he just
