Artifacts, coins, etc.: located in corners of maps?

So curious: I can see finding such things in rooms you might not have otherwise gotten to. But are any of these things located out in the open in the corner of an outdoor area? I find it a bit annoying that I have to walk past every square inch of grassy areas to make sure there's not a coin, etc., sitting there out of sight.

I had to use updated version of the listen mode that lights up things in the map to find most of that stuff. I turned up ping distance the highest it would go too. Now all collectibles show up as little circles on the screen when I press the listen button. It's very helpful but tedious as hell.
