I too am experiencing constant crashes to the desktop.

I've had -
1) an unable to load texture error
2) VC++ error
3) A blank error message
4) CTD when quicksaving

I'm running an intel i5 2500k, 16gb RAM, Windows 7 64 bit, Radeon 6950 (2gb) with the 14.501.1003-141120a-177998C Catalyst Drivers.

We've reduced texture memory usage, so hopefully this doesn't happen any more. Let me know if it still happens in 1.2.1. There's a pinned thread for it.

I'm having a similar problem. Whenever I try to fight the second boss, don't know his name, the game crashes because of some textures it was not able to load. "CD3DRenderer::LoadTexture: Failed to load texture, rocket_seeking.png! Invalid data". I had similar problems before at the same point and hoped it got fixed now...

My game crashes every time I try and play it. It happens within a few minutes every time.
My specs are well above the requirement so can't understand why this keeps happening.
Please help me!:NZA2_TombStone:

Hm. We tried reducing the amount of used texture memory, but that doesn't seem to have helped. (Did anybody have this happen in 1.2.0 and now doesn't in 1.2.1?)

When investigating, I did notice that video memory usage was always lower the first time playing a level, and then the usage would go up the second time... but only the second time. The third, fourth, fifth, etc. times didn't produce any additional VRAM usage. There's no indication of VRAM leaks, either. This leads me to belive that there's some issue with the drivers (which shouldn't be a surprise - it's happened in the past).

Is someone willing to experiment with some different drivers? I'd like to at least know what's going on here.

I can only tell you that the error I am experiencing happens with all drivers Nvidia released since I got your game from Bundle Stars (but I just can't find when this was). By the way, I'm playing on a Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M, Intel i7-4702MQ with 32 GB RAM

I'll give something a try. I'll have a branch up in the next day or so.

Okay folks, I've put up a test branch for 1.2.2. See the sticky for details. Thanks!

Okay, so I got that beta. Now some other question: is there a way to get to that specific point in the level where I am having my errors since it's the boss and a bit exhausting to play trough the whole level every time when testing?

You can quick play to level 3, or use a quicksave near the boss.

v1.2.2 is out and hopefully it fixes this. Try setting texture quality to low/medium and let me know if it still happens.
