there were gonna be more as well as more levels and a multiplayer until the dev decided to drop development after finishing the first ep of the single player campaign and call the game "finished"

Eh, it was always finished after the first episode. The deal was always if the game did well, we'd do more. And well... you know. Definitely shouldn't have talked about future content too much, but I was confident the game would do well and wanted to give people an extra incentive to support the game. That was foolish on my part.

Contentwise this is very much as full a game as they come (except for the almost annoyingly boring story).
And it's a great game if you like a modern retro shooter.

Jesus! It was THAT bad?!

Game's pretty awesome, imo lacks a bit of content though, which sucks. Those 2 or 3 episodes would've been great!

If you ever make a Wrack 2- please leave out platforming to get to stuff- I don't mean this as sarcastically as it's going to sound, so keep that in mind but I would've bought a platformer if I wanted to or liked to do those things. It's not just this game that's guilty of it- but it's more than annoying... as I really can't stand platforming plus it slows the game's pace, breaks that hi-speed gameplay you get into... with platforming irritations. My shooting skills (imho) should decide what I achieve, not platforming in a game like this. Thanks for listening to the rant- I'm done- until I see another section in game that's hiding secrets or treasure from me- but you won't have to hear that part :)

Far as the game not selling as well as you hoped- I say a lot has to do with advertizing, or the lack of- I ran into this game on accident, never knew it existed.. and wished (platforming aside) that I had heard of it sooner. I'm not beyond buying friends copies to help a game's sales- and many of my friends, like me- prefer or only play single player and love fps. Character choice and more levels would've been nice, but single player only is right up my alley. I'd rather a dev (especially a solo dev, or one on a small team) stick to single player, and focus all their efforts/resources on making that awesome, versus dividing what little they can do between more than 1mode. Just my opinion.:shodan::trilogo:

**P.S. On the Fusion Plant lvl, until this point, the only thing breaking up fast, flowing action was the platforming (grrr), but I just found another- these 'click the buttons in the right order' sections. I did the first half of a 2 part 'puzzle'- nothing against puzzlers, but not a good thing in the middle of a fast paced, old school shooter.. (imho), yeah, some shooters have some puzzles in them, but in a fast paced shooter it slows things down, and when they block progression as this one does- that's even worse. I've ran in circles to the point I almost don't care what's next- this game has some great points, but stuff like this (again, imho) really ruin a great experience, with exceptions. (This is just feedback to help create a better future game, hopefully a Wrack2).

We hear you. The platforming wasn't popular. The varied gameplay from level to level (level hazards, puzzles, etc.) didn't seem to be popular, either. We were trying to vary the gameplay so that it wasn't the same same same all the time, but we didn't get the response from that that we hoped for.

Anyway, you live and you learn!

If you're saying people should just play Half-Life for platforming/puzzles, the same can be said for people just playing Doom if they want raw FPS action. The game you want exists already, therefore there's no point in further Wrack episodes or Wrack 2 existing.

Nope. Not what I was trying to say. Tho according to your reply here I doubt you'd want to know (which could've been solved in a less pissy way). Good luck in your future endeavours.:gtfo:

Well, it wasn't meant that way. That's just the reality of the situation (there being no place for this game), unfortunately.

Enjoy.
