Stuck at "checking for downloadable content please wait"
My game is stuck just after the title screen where it endlessly keeps checking for downloadable content. This happened after the recent update.

PC/Laptop specs: i5-4200M 2.5-3.1 Ghz
8GB 1600Mhz DDR3
Nvidia GTX 765M 928/1200 Mhz
Windows 7 SP1

I have the same problem on Linux - not on Win 10...

Me too, on Ubuntu 21.04

remove - reinstall - no special start options did it for me finally
intel graphics on up-to-date debian buster (bullseye is out btw.!)
i7-8550U - notebook cpu @1280x720 quite smooth
packets xserver-xorg-video-intel and intel-media-va-drive installed
