This thread is to help get the best feeling for your Logitech G27 Wheel. Setting these up are of course different for everyone , but a general overall place to start is always good :)

Can you post yours to start it off?

I have a G27 and when I get to play will be happy to have some choices too :-)
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:18pm
Absolutely :)

I have no idea if these are even close to what you are supposted to use and I am claiming no
responsiblity for the awesomeness of them or not.

Logitech Profiler

Overall Effects Strength =%100
Spring Effect Strength = %20
DamperEffect Strength =%0
Enable Centering Spring in forcefeedback =not checked
Report Combined =not checked
Degrees of Rotation =900

Allow game to adjust ingame settings=checked

If find if I turn on Damper Effects stength the car feels like its floatings and not turning as quickly for me

In game I have selected standard G27 and then in Vibration Settings
Vibration = on
Vibration Strength = 100
Wheel Strenght =100
Wheel Weight=100

Again I have no idea if they are even close , I have only played the game a very short bit to see how it handled.

Thanks. When I get to play I'll post mine too although I'm certainly no expert (ahem) :-)
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:24pm
Well hopefully this thread will help us all become experts and get the best experience possible from this game :)
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:29pm
This is from another thread one of the developers Loore states "270 degrees of steering lock on most cars and 250 on Open Wheelers is a good place to start" I'm pretty sure he means in the Degrees of Rotation in logitech profiler because I dont see any place to change that in game.

Thanks for posting, I didn't notice anything wrong with the handling, but I'll try turning the damper effect strength down to zero to see if it makes any difference, as well as the vibration settings :D
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:35pm
Just tried the Degrees of Rotation to 270 in profiler and it is much much better :)
Same here, tried it, works really well but I prefer the 900 degrees. I had some trouble going straight with the 270, I would add a tiny bit of deadzone just to balance it all
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:46pm
Yeah probably depends on what car your using as well :) Wish the deadzone would increment in 1% instead of 5% :)

That setting is way too high.
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:49pm
Yeah I noticed that when I tried the 270 everything felt much tighter and in control.

Keep the logitech profiler at 900° and adjust the maximum wheel turn by adjusting the ingame saturation to your liking. The smaller the percentage the less you have to turn the wheel. The larger the percentage, the more you have to turn the wheel.
Setting the ingame stearing saturation to 30% means you have 270° if you had set the profiler to 900° (30% of 900 is 270).

Adjust the linearity to your liking. With large negative numbers most of the change of direction happens with the first small turns of the wheel, further turning of the wheel has less and less effect. With large positive numbers a small change of direction happens with the first turns of the wheel, but further turning of the wheel has progressively more and more effect.

I recommend profiler 900°, ingame wheel saturation 25% and linearity 3 or 4.

About the forced feedback I set the logitech profiler "Overall Effects Strength" to 100% and all the rest to 0. Especially codemasters games do not need an additional spring effect, as they have implemented it pretty nicely into the game already. Ingame vibrations I set to 40/70/30 (Vib Str/Wheel Str/Wheel weight). Those values are rather low, as I do not like to much FFB and to much noise during racing.

Richman , thank you for your suggestions :) I am unable to find the saturation settings your talking about in Grid Autosport and I am not sure if they exist. The Wheel setup and Vibration dont have the saturation settings in either of them, but I will give your Vibration settings and profiler setting a go :)
VRnardoDaVinci 24 Jun, 2014 @ 3:57pm
Richman , nevermind I found it in the Advanced Settings in the Controls :)

Ah another thing. If you like to rest your foot on the breaking pedal, you should consider adding a little deadzone (5%), just to prevent permanent breaking.
