By no audio are you saying even with the movies show in game, ie title screen etc?

Everything, from when I start it to when I close it. No sound at all.

Hmm weird, because there is specific Videos which need an Audio device to play, which makes me question what audio device you have set up in your control panel of audio devices?

i think ive tryed it all, even playing with my kraken usb hedset, and without it.. nothing works, updated all drivers in my cumputer, (its a HP Envy laptop) almost 9 months old now...

I have the same probleme... did you find a solution ?

unfortinatly not...

I understand this is rather late but I had the same problem and came was able to come up with a solution. I am currently running on Ubuntu 18, so I'm not sure if this applies to you. My main monitor is connected through HDMI to the computer, and when I checked the audio devices it was the first one listed. I turned off the HDMI connection and it started working.

Not sure if it's on the part of codemasters or what but it may be that grid is looking for the first audio device to play on. I hope this was helpful to anyone in some way.
