Can't Select Christine

I got the loot before I had Christine get the bird book to give to the Chaplain. I can't find anything else to do in Joe's side of the story aside from thing that I need the book for. But, I am not able to select Christine. Help or suggestions?

Did you check the "guide section" of steam forum? there is a wlakthrough well done. Can't remember like that where you are exactly, but if you can't choose Christine, it's because you made all the necessayry with her at this point

Yes I did, and I know I didn't do all of the necessary points because I didn't have Birdman's book. I ended up just getting around the problem by starting over from an older save.
