It's also session-wise, so the trees disappear regardless of whether you have saved or not.
Annoying nonetheless if, unlike me, you constantly require road anarchy/no road collision.

You can alway post a SAVED game on Dropbox or somewhere and let other players see if they get the same result.

I do not use transportation mods. I went into my game last night and guess what?.....trees in the middle of my roads. I deleted each one by hand....so far, so good.

The problem: either Tree Anarchy or Prop & Tree Anarchy

The actual solution:

Select -> Options -> Tree Anarchy
- Uncheck "Persistant lock on forestry resources"

Then select -> Tree Anarchy tab
- Uncheck "Tree Anarchy" (You won't be able to place trees anywhere you want)
- Check "Hide tree on load" and select "remove tree" from the listbox
- Save game, exit to desktop, reload game.

Last step: Complain to "Tree Anarchy" and "Prop & Tree Anarchy" mod creators that this is a constant issue with their mod for over a decade and needs fixing.

Not sure if the Prop & Tree Anarchy have the same options, because I use the more updated individual mods.

Your welcome everyone, a solid answer for those who desperately needed it almost a decade later.

TO THOSE WHO PROVIDED NON-ANSWERS: If you don't have an answer that is fine, just don't post something stupid / generic as "you installed a mod, uninstall the mod". This is not helpful. This problem has been an issue for over a decade and because of non answers like yours, has not been fixed until 2022.

NOTE TO ALL: If you are going to help answer someone's question about a problem, answer only if you are willing to help or provide an actual solution.

This is my biggest annoyance with Steam workshop creators and users, NO ONE answers the question EVER!
