Critical feeding glitch
I can't stop feeding when I'm using a hooker, or when I'm using someone I've seduced, but I CAN if it's against someone I've forced. This is due to a glitch at the very end of the Romero zombie killing mission. Details below.

I've updated to the 8.5.1 unofficial patch, and I just finished the Romero mission where I kill a ♥♥♥♥ ton of zombies in that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ graveyard. I was finally able to pull it off, but a zombie bit me in the last 2 seconds of the countdown, and the "BRAINS" countdown bar was still present, frozen during my subsequent conversation with Romero, and disappeared after I regained control of my character in the hub world.

After regaining control of my character, I quickly found that when I began to feed on a prostitute, I couldn't stop feeding. The "F" key wasn't stopping the feeding, and I killed her. I reloaded and tried again, same result. I tried with another of my seductions in the Asp Lounge, same result. I attacked a random in the street and fed, and was able to stop when I hit "F." So I can't stop feeding when I'm using a hooker, or when I'm using someone I've seduced, but I CAN if it's against someone I've forced.

I tried reloading a save previous to the Romero and I could stop feeding during seduction and hookers. This leads me to believe that somehow the BRAINS freeze has critically glitched my seduction feed somehow. This is overwhelmingly infuriating, since I can't replicate this feat again without pure luck. I am in no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mood to go back and try beat that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ graveyard again for another two hours.

Any suggestions on a fix?

That sounds crappy, I hope the makers of the unofficial patch read this and fix the problem.

Did you ever manage to solve this glitch? I have the same problem right now a zombie ate my brains when the mission finished. It's going to be a slow game if I have to feed on rats to survive now

EDIT:
I did another quest after doing the Romero one (final serial killer quest was the one I did) and that fixed the problem. So for anyone else who was this glitch, hopefully you don't need to reload, just do another mission. I guess doing a mission will ''reset'' your character back to normal.

I don't think we could fix that, this seems like a random hard-coded issue...
Go find another zombie, or spawn one with the console. Let him eat your brains and then break free.

wesp, you have any idea how to create a zombie entity, or where a zombie might easily be accessed in the game?

The only ones easily accessed in the game are in the Giovanni mansion but there is nobody nearby to feed on freely...
They probably just need to get their brains eaten by zombies, and then break free. My assumption is that whenever the Graveyard mini-game ends, it interrupts the zombie eating the brain, and some variable that is supposed to be cleared when you break free never gets cleared. Finding another zombie and letting that zombie eat your brains and then breaking free of that zombie should clear the problematic variable.

Ah, I understand. Yes, this could probably work! You might try the ones in the crackhouse then, they are closer than the Giovanni Mansion although they are not really zombies...

I had that bug too - eating a rat and "stopping" seemed to have fixed it.
(You can stop feeding on rats, doesn't really change anything, but I think it's a bit faster.)

I can confirm feeding on a rat and pressing F (even as Ventrue) fixes the bug ^^
12 years later I had this exact issue - eating a rat seems the easiest option to clear it.
