needs a "restart room at first entrance" button
accidentally screwing myself out of a feather and then having to restart the entire game because I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to reenter the room without dying is the WORST

I would really like this feature as well. Or maybe when the game is complete have a 'revisit room' function. I'd rather not replay the whole stage just to recover a single feather I missed.

Seconding this, though not sure if the dev team will see this

Totally agree! I got into the exact same situation and it was no longer possible to start at the left of the screen rather than the right.

Agreed on the need for a 'revisit room' function. Fowl Damage is already tough on exploring for secrets because of the deadly jump mechanics that make it harder to just probe everywhere.

Whereas in games like Celeste, its easier to probe things, its easier to return to existing rooms, and it still gives you 32 'return to this point' subchapters throughout the seven A-side chapters that make the core game.

gonna think on this a bit! At the very least this week I want to try and go through the game and try to reduce some of the bigger pain locations I've seen people run into. There's some places it'd be pretty simple for me to make a level transition more backtrackable without it costing clarity of the main puzzle in the screen. Unfortunately I can't do this everywhere as backtracking can completely trivialise some feathers and completely muddy the puzzle geometry of some screens, but I'll see what I can do. Backtracking also sometimes lets people "checkpoint" a puzzle in really neat ways, too! so.

But I'm pretty hesitant to add in any kind of revisit option for a number of reasons, both technical and design related. (But if I was to list just one of the reasons, I think it feels like a bit of a band-aid and I'd rather reduce the need for having it in the first place and go from there.)

Hey maybug, do you have an ETA for such an update? I've bought your game but will probs hold off on playing it until some of these have been fixed, as I'll be aiming to collect all feathers too. Thanks! :)
