The in-between movement was my biggest complaint about the game, so it's good to see you guys are experimenting with it. And at first I was afraid the slowing down of the game would be a negative experience, but I'm very optimistic after your demonstration!

Is it possible to switch between the two movement modes once the update comes out? Or is the new movement mode the only mode?

In an ideal world we'd keep both. But in this world we'd also have infinite time and resource. We shall see. We are however going to focus on this new movement first, as it does really play well.

I am pleasantly surprised to see that the game is still undergoing active development. I have been under impression that Chuck's Challenge 3D had initially somewhat rough start and that post-release patches polished the game into the gem it is today. Updated movement and animation probably will make the underlying game mechanics more clear to many players and be helpful in speedruns. :steamhappy:

Talking about speedruns. Will the records by cleaned up? Nearly every level currently has impossible records.

That's the plan ;)

Great!

When will this update be implemented? I finished all six main packs quite a while ago. I'm looking forward to new material. New challenges.

It's a massive update, so it's taking it's time. At a guess probably at least another month.

And if previous major updates are any indication, it will be worth the wait.

I didn't have this game, or even this Steam account, during the last update, so I have no idea how long the previous updates took. Also, since I already got all of the possible achievements for this game, will new ones be added when the update occurs?

By the way, I'm still stuck on that weekly puzzle of yours not long ago, the one titled, "To Sync or Not to Sync". There's still no replay hint available. Why is that? I'm stumped.

I can give a hint, which doesn't spoil the entire solution but gives some pointers:
The "synchronized" movement between the two Yellow Golems can be broken by pushing blocks to right spots to limit the movement of one Golem. The blocks in the corners play important role. ;)

Once I finished the six packs, I started on the user-created levels. A lot of good stuff there. I think I spent more time on them than on the main game.
