Good luck on this new project !
I added it to my follow list as i do like game with text xD
Question about a side topic :
You mention using Unity and there was some controversy this year when they announced a change in the Terms of Sale. (i did not follow the topic in details, but it was mentionned in other games forum)
I heard they "went back" and now have "more acceptable ToS", but does it impact you in the end ?
The current state is that as long as we use a certain engine version, we are bound to its terms, which is what everyone really wants: clarity and transparency.
It's a gamble trusting them after that, but unfortunately for many of us, it's an inevitable reality. Godot, is a decent/good alternative, but achieving the same level of proficiency there requires time that many of us cannot really afford.
Can't wait to see what you have in store for us :)
Thanks Vieux Chat! I hope it won't disappoint!
Thanks Iochinvar! The development of Chronicles will be on hold for a while, but it's not terminated for now. This break is necessary to maintain a separate mindset, and I've also added everything I wanted to it, for now.
However, I'd like to resume its development in parallel, once Renaissance is in a good place.
So far, it has too many expansions that most players haven't had the chance to acquire yet, which can either mean they're not yet caught up or they're fed up with it. That is to be determined, and will play a large role on how/if Chronicles development will resume and what form.
Also, happy new year!
* We already talked in Discord with Strix, but I'll answer this here, too, for future reference:
I use Grammarly to check and catch my grammar inconsistencies. Occasionally, it will make suggestions I can implement or ignore. It's a useful tool but has no say in the plot's direction or the story itself.
