Hi PredatorNX, the game videos on YouTube are a bit outdated, as the portraits changed a few days ago. So, chances are the portraits you saw there are either part of a mod or replaced. There are about 74 portraits open to the male characters without any sort of modding involved, except if you are a Dwarf, Galdorak or Oscultari, these have a very specific and minimal subset.

There’s actually an easy way to let your character override portrait restrictions without using mods. This allows you to use any portrait in the game, regardless of gender, species, or whether it's reserved for the story. However, this will still not work if your character is Oscultari, Dwarf, or Galdorak, as their portraits are filtered to only those with these keywords in the filename.

After loading your save, press F10 to open the Shell and type:

Reward You Tag:Omniportrait
Then press Enter.
done
Then press Enter, to close the Shell.

After that, go to your character sheet and change the portrait to one from the full collection.

That said, adding your own portraits mod is a better and more flexible method, and it doesn’t involve any actual modding. Just copy your PNG portrait files to the correct folders. You don't even need to create that folder yourself. Here's how:

1. Go to Mods, click on Show Wizard.
2. Check the Male Portraits box (or Female, as needed).
3. Enter a name for your portrait mod folder, like 'My Portraits'.
4. Click 'Generate Mod Template'.

This will open the folder for your new portrait "mod." Paste your portraits there, they must be 400x720 in dimension and uniquely named by adding a special tag (e.g., PredatorNX Human Male (1).png).

If you want to make portraits exclusive to Galdorak, Dwarf or Oscultari, their filenames should include the word, Galdorak, etc. (e.g., *Male Galdorak Portrait 1.png*).
