I assume you're referring to checking into the inn during the story? That happens automatically after you trigger the "Arrival in Llanford" story at Llanford's Gate. This takes you to the inn, and if you choose to rent a room after asking about your companions (rather than heading to the barracks) you'll get one right there. If you do go to the barracks instead, then the next time you visit the inn, either alone or with Janus, you'll get the room as well.
Unless you meant something else?
Thanks, I’ll add a pop-up to warn you before accidentally gifting your items while bartering.
It was right at the beginning. I guess I walked in the wrong direction and it didn't trigger the event. But later when I went to the tile with the inn I wasn't able to do anything. It was only when I reloaded a save and walked over the tile that triggered the event that I was able to interact with the inn. I'm playing the demo version btw so maybe things have changed idk.
