What do they mean by -2-?
I don't understand what that means. Can someone show me a video on how to solve these? I want to learn it.

it means there are 2 blue hexes around that one but they are not connected to each other. It gets more tricky when the number goes up, like -3-. That means there are 3 blue hexes but they are not ALL together. Some of them might be, like one over here and two together over there.

Hope that helps.

Just like Jxt09 said: -2- means that there are two blue cells around the -2-, but they are not side by side. There's at least one black cell separating them.
See this example[i.imgur.com].

You guys still don't mention that its meaning is the same even if the -2- is inside a cell or not.
