There are hints about a divided value in Hexcells as well as HC Plus (didn't play Infinite yet but I'm sure it also applies there).
My question would be: what exactly does that mean, is it only divided into two parts or is it possible to cut it in more than two parts? Not sure if there were distinctive situations in the series about this mechanic.

Easy Example:
Does -3- only mean 2+1 or can it also be 1+1+1?
