So basically it takes all of the difficulty out of Minesweeper and turns it into something like Sudoku?
Yeah. You aren't blown up if you do something wrong it just gets checked off as a mistake.
I'd rather get blown up and try again.
Difficulty has nothing to do with unfairness. Minesweeper is a dumb design, any puzzle-game that requires you to make a guess is flawed.
I doubt that. This is a computer game; the game will not accidentally reveal such information and will only do what it is programmed to do.
However, I do put the mouse on a hex, and then double check that I what I want to do is correct, and think about whether I need to click left or right. Maybe something like that gets mistaken as "guessing the color by putting the mousepointer on it".
That's because there is none. And I "guessed" every single hex in the game correctly on the first try.
Come to think of it, the puzzles are NOT randomized. So if he doesn't have the required information on screen at the time, but opens the correct hexes anyway, he's probably done it before and remembers what the board looks like. Not sure how it easy it is to memorize these boards, though.
Nevermind, it's still a good game !
An accurate way to describe this game is that it has its roots on minesweeper but also has nonograms and kakuros rules/mechanics. (Those are type of games I recomend by the way)
