Bug report: Seeing under Orange Hexes
When you moseover a orange hex, it wobbles a little bit, so franticly mousing over the same one over and over can make it bounce enough to see 'under' it to see if the hidden hex is blue or gray.

(Same applies to Hexcells +)

This is particularly bad when running under Linux with an Intel GM45 GPU

Sounds to me like the best fix for this is to not make the conscious effort to cheat... but I guess a bug is a bug and it should be reported anyway.

The latest update appears to have fixed my issue.

It's really hard not to when it practically shows the number when you hover over the cell.

The answer is probably, 'don't do that, then'.

Bumping old thread. I've just installed the game myself and noticed this. Was going to make my own thread, but searched first. Running on OSX 10.8.

This can happen even if you're not trying to do it deliberately, as it seems the wiggle animation can change randomly each time from a slight movement to a very large one. I've had to use flux to remove the blue colour entirely to prevent spoilers here.

I suppose there's not much chance of this being fixed at this point. Any work arounds to get this to stop?

I mentioned changing the colours on my screen, but that's not exactly a winner. The only real option is to avoid moving the mouse around the screen too much.
