It's kind of magic, when I tried the very first time it worked, but after that 4 times over 5 it crashed directly after launching the game from the config window. But one time over 5 it just works, so if I want to play I just try to touch at everything in the config window and sometimes it works, but it doesn't seem to follow any form of logic. Sometimes with the same config as before it works, sometimes not.
I managed to bypass the config window by launching the game manually from the game folder but I'd like to know what to do whith this configuration window which is used is 2 or 3 games in my library... Do you know if this is a know problem ? What is the name of this config window, is there a forum about it somewhere, is it some open source config window for Ubuntu that anyone can use, or is it just an accident that it looks exactly like other config windows in other games ?
Thanks a lot
On the website they say that Linux support is still a work in progress, so there can occasionally be issues. It does seem very odd that it works sometimes and not others.
Thanks a lot, keep me on touch if you hear something about it
Really nice game by the way, a bit quick to finish but very good :)
edit: seem to have bumped an old thread but even verifying integrity doesnt help. 10.10.2 Yosemite here. Nvidia 320m.
I got mine working easily after I opted-out from Steam Beta. That was causing my problems.
linzie's solution worked for me, too. I had the black screen, spinning pinwheel, then opted-out of Beta on 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and now the game works.
