Why not shut the servers down temporarily and promise their return once the game is more completed? Why not employ this step earlier on before there was literally no money left? Things happen behind the scenes, sure, but Bossa isn't a large enough studio to dump a game that many people had very high hopes for.
Bossa, if you or anyone in your studio read this, please, if you get into some money off a successful game, revisit this project and re-release it. Nobody should wish any of you ill will but that's different from consumer trust. Closing this game is and will continue to be a deep scar in your company's history. I know that the closing of the game hurt those closest to developing it the most, and to you, my deepest gratitude and condolences.

i hate how they handled worlds adrift
I apologize for the sin of dissatisfaction with a botched product, and present myself fully. 'Please sell me more games and then take them away from me shortly thereafter, i've been a bad girl.'
That's hilarious binary thinking. Either haunt the boards of a game you are mad about or worship the people who gave you a sad.
How dare they try to make something and fail, people should only ever be allowed to succeed.
Try this, move on. I'm on this board because Island Creator works and is still fun to play. Why are you here? What does your bitterness gain you? Seems to me its an emotional loss for you and it's absolutely not going to hurt Bossa. That's pretty textbook for self defeating behavior.
So, drop the salt and go find joy elsewhere.
You say as if i'm actively sitting here seething about worlds adrifts sudden shutdown. I posted this like a year ago, and worlds adrift hasnt touched my mind until you called me here by bumping the thread, to let everyone know how much of a pushover you are.
My reasoning for blocking bossa as a publisher has nothing to do with hurting them, and everything to do with protecting me. I posted this initially to try and help others who feel similarly to me. Feel free to move on.
February was this year.
I'm a pushover for? Did you just need an insult?
I called you here? If you didn't care you'd have just moved on, but instead you came back to deliver the previously quoted unhinged rant.
Makes you claim of having moved on pretty suspect.
Yes febuary was this year, thats when i spent 1 minute to post this on the only existing worlds adrift forum, after seeing a post somewhere showing this feature.
Your a pushover for defending a publisher who doesn't need defending. Its totally appropriate to not buy something from a company that you dont trust to just turn around and shutdown with less than a months notice.
I'm not sure whats unhinged about that, or ranting. I'm explaining exactly what i think and why, while youre just lobbing ad hominem.
I don't care in the sense that i don't think about worlds adrift since i saw that you can block publishers on steam(notice i say publishers, not developers. You seem to have a point about 'how dare they try something and fail'. Worlds adrift was amazing and thats why im dissapointed with how the PUBLISHER handled it. Stop defending the game noone dissagrees with you.)
I care in the sense that someone is talking to me and im going to respond, and correct their mischaracterization of me. Imagine responding when spoken to, so unhinged.
