-Completely exit Steam
-Right-click on the shortcut which you use to launch Steam
-Select "Run as Administrator"
-From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
-Select the Local files tab and click Verify integrity of game cache.
-Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
-Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
If the problem persists be sure your drivers are up to date: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6416-EYDH-0477
and make sure all background applications are closed.
Did you cancel any installation options when installing murderminers? its possible that you need to re-run those secondary installers.
1. Open windows explorer, right click on 'My Computer' and click 'Properties'.
2. Click on 'Device Manager' and look under 'Display Adapters'.
3. Disable the option that isn't your main GPU (for me it was Intel HD Graphics 4600).
Here's the full thread that solved it for me: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/28050/discussions/0/864973123824190120/
Please let me know if this fixes the problem,
