Windows Defender PUA
So I got a notification from Windows Defender that it's detecting a PUA in Murder Miners, it's claiming that the game is a "CoinMiner"

I've looked up the issue, and apparently this had happened a few times with Murder Miners throughout the years. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that it's a false positive, and that it think it's a crypto miner because it has the word "miners" in the exe's name, and Windows Defender can be pretty stupid at times. Does anyone have any insight into this?

very late(im bored and digging through the discussion pages) this has in fact been an ongoing issue. it's a false positive, i have like almost 1000 hours im pretty sure its not doing any shady ♥♥♥♥ at this point :)
they've been trying to get to the bottom of it with no luck. they CAN submit the game to microsoft to get it whitelisted to deal with the issue, but it's only temporary since as soon as the game updates again, defender sees it as a brand new program and the cycle continues. the team doesn't make much money at all from this and they would have to pay every time to get it whitelisted. so they haven't and had to tank the false positive.

there's a version of the game in the works that runs in FNA instead of XNA on windows that doesn't seem to do this, but it has desync issues and janky mouse input so it's not quite ready to replace the main version yet. but hopefully one day its dealt with

It stills runs in XNA? For some reason I was under the impression that the PC port was made with Unity. Don't know where I got that idea from, then
