MSI GTX 1070 GAMING X
16GB Corsair Vengeance 2133ghz
1. in FaceRig the broadcast is on
2. you run FaceRig and another game (PUBG) at the same time
3. start recording
4. focus the game and then FaceRig stops, no movement at all
5. in OBS you are using the FaceRig Virtual Camera
Is this the case? If so, this is clearly because of DX9 rendering API which allows only one dx9 graphic application to run at a time. This is why I asked you to start with DX11.
Please also provide the VP.log, file that can be found at <steamInstallDir>\steamapps\common\FaceRig\, paste the contents to pastebin.com (no registration required) and post the link here.
This is how the program behaves during streaming or recording
There is nothing like this, I've done tests now, I'll put in the video. The system works without hangs, there is no throttling. In OBS settings there is a codec for recording - NVENC H.264 (1920x1080, 35000 bitrate) and for streaming QuickSync H.264 (1280x720, 4000 bitrate). And all this happens only when FaceRig works.
And yes, I tried and as a gaming application to add FaceRIg to OBS and as a normal webcam. No difference.

You have to take into account that FaceRig is CPU and GPU demanding, due to the tracking algorithms, high fidelity rendering (just compare with PUBG graphic quality), video streaming, etc. You need to precisely balance video quality and system performance, because you are actually running 2 CPU/GPU intensive games and a streaming/recording software that does video encoding at 1080p/720p.
I do recall some streamers and youtube creators complain about the PUGB performance being so demanding even on high-end systems such as yours, actually reporting fps drops. What I am saying is that FaceRig isn't the sole culprit for the issue you are describing, it's a set of factors that include also include the games and the streaming software.
