Change-log(Cur:build 438, 12 Feb.)(nxt:build 478, 27 Mar)
If you look in the bottom right version of the screen, there is a version and build number
If you have any problems, first check if that is the same as the number in the title.

If there are any (large) fixes, a member of Holotech Studio's will post a note below with the fixes and starting from which version that should be fixed.

If you have one of the problems, please make sure to have Steam update the program and then check if the problems happen again.

v0.69b Build 271, 29 Augustus
First patch of bug fixes and a start for importing avatars and props.

New features:
* Added an outbound sound delay slider for easier Sound-Visual synchronization (lipsync) in General Options > Sound Options
* Added a first iteration of custom avatars/props import tool (found in Bin/Tools). Note that this tool is still unstable and has some limitations, you'll need to thoroughly read the documentation on importing custom avatars/props if you want to import any custom creations. We do not recommend you to import anything at this time because the testing time on it is almost non existent, but some very adventurous modders have pressured us to make them available in this state.

Fixes:
* Fixed bug with prop resetting position when changing it from drop-down, the sliders would not update
* Fixed bug with sliders that don't change values in edit boxes after clicking inside an edit box
* Performance optimization (when lipsync or webcam tracking are off CPU load should diminish from the previous build)
* Fixed load video issue: random stops while playing
* Fixed Custom Picture Background issue on Doge and Ardalys
* Minor shader tweaks for Ecera

Known Bugs:
* When turning on sound playback, the last bit of sound keeps on echoing.

Holotech Studios  [developer] 2 Sep, 2014 @ 10:27am
0.70b (build 275) 2'nd of September

New features:
* added Performance tab in General Options Dialog for application performance tweaking. This allows to set loop update rate for the main app (affecting rendering), face tracker (affecting lag on tracking) and lipsync (affecting visemes). Tweaking these values will allow lowering CPU usage.
* added community avatars and props documentation in FaceRig/Tools/Docs/
* added a simple audio device lister in FaceRig/Tools/AudioDeviceLister/. This is a debug tool that would help us resolve any issue regarding audio input devices not being detected by FaceRig.

Fixes:
* minor tweaking of the FaceRig Virtual Cam. CPU usage should be significantly lower on software that uses this camera.
* fixed deadlock when exiting FaceRig (should have happened only if changing cameras)
* fixed loopback toggle off issue (the app was looping through last recorded second)
* fixed lowering pitch issue (audio was muted for lower values)
* minor tweak regarding robotization audio effect present with pitch audio effect
* memory optimization on Load Video feature
* default output audio device is automatically added to device list (even though normally it can be filtered by name and not make it in the device list)
* fixed inexpressive eyebrows issue (no frowning).
* fixed open file issue (files in Windows 7 libraries and Desktop would not open)
* fixed tracking freeze issue
* fixed Lord Burgor not loading on different Windows regions
* minor lighting fix in Fluffo's Apartment

0.74b (build 292) 19'th of September - only on nextversion branch

Change log:
  • added Alya Oktoberfest avatar
  • added KaiserKitty avatar
  • added Oktoberfest background
  • mouse-driven pupeteering input for position and rotations now gets recorded in the RPL files.
  • added alternate webcam feed frame grabber. Launching FaceRig from Steam will prompt with a choice, Launch FaceRig (which uses the original frame grabber) and Launch FaceRig with alternate frame grabber which uses a custom made in-house grabber. All of the users who are experiencing issues with FaceRig related to webcams, capturing devices, capturing software or software that emulates a video source using a smartphone camera (like iWebcamera), are advised to use the alternate frame grabber and see if their issues persists.
  • added first iteration of the auto-save feature. In General Options > Preference tab you will find:
    • Default Avatar / Makeup / Background
    • Screenshot Folder
    • Hide Logo check
    • Autosave check. The Autosave check refers to saving and auto-loading changes to avatars and backgrounds from run to run, and when changing avatars/backgrounds. Note that changes to Avatar are made per Makeup.
    • all toggled and activated features on FaceRig GUI are also saved: tracking, lipsync, sound loopback, hide interface, PnP mode, broadcast and look at camera.
  • solved a crash when changing resolutions
  • added Smoothing Factor slider for head tracking. This is useful for those that experience avatar head shakiness
  • added no sound detected notification if the lipsync is activated and no sound feed is detected for three seconds
  • updated Community Avatars and Props documentation
  • the script that prepares the community avatars for FaceRig now sets the FOV vertical value to 30 degrees. In the future versions we intend to load FOV values from collada.

    v0.77b (build 304) - Oct 1st 2014 - only on 'nextversion' branch

    Change log;
    • added "Reset Avatar on Tracking Off" in the special actions tab of the Avatar Customization dialog. What it does : when it is unchecked and you turn off the tracking, the avatar remains in the last tracked pose, so you can fine tune it with pupeteering controls and take awesome screenshots. If it is checked, it resets to the default character idle pose (as in previous versions).
    • added shortcuts to quick-save and quick load avatar-makeup-background presets. You have 10 quick save slots. Use ctrl + shift + [0 .. 9] key to save current preset to slots 0 to 9, and use ctrl + [0 .. 9] to load a saved preset.
There is also a keyboard hook that allows users to change avatars and backgrounds while focused on other applications (it will not save presets unless you are focused on FaceRig though). This will allow you to act out dialogues between different characters, in different backgrounds, even while in another application.
    • solved same name on multiple webcams issue. When selecting one of multiple same name cameras, the app would have selected the first one.
    • when resetting the tracker, the time allotted to you to take the neutral expression changed to 1.5 seconds from 3.0.
    • added the first iteration of the FaceRig launcher. If you want to see it you'll have to start it by hand for now as it is not yet set as default when launching FaceRig from the Steam interface. We will change this later after it has been tested some more. If you are willing to test out the launcher, it resides in <steamInstallDir>/SteamApps/common/FaceRig/Bin/ (Launcher.exe). The role of the launcher is to enable you to change configurations before launching the application and to provide a news feed from facerig.com (not yet implemented). All options saved by the auto-save feature are also configurable in the launcher (except the screenshot folder):
      • resolution
      • input/output devices
      • silence threshold / sound delay
      • default avatar/makeup/background
      • performance options
      • all interface options: use tracking, use lipsync, look at camera, etc.
      • starting FaceRig with alternate framegrabber
