Can't say when we would start working on a Linux version yet.
...That's only if you develop against open source libraries which are compatible with Linux, and not Apple's API's (which, Apple likes to change on a whim, so you're better off developing only against cross-platform libraries anyway).
I used to write system code for Mac OS X... each new Mac OS X release was very annoying to deal with (10.8 to 10.9 was espeially a headache, and 10.10 yanked out some libraries needed for play nice with Windows Server). As a developer, I hate Apple. Save yourself some headaches and develop for Linux first, then tweak it for Mac OS X.
