Can I run FaceRig on Mac by using VM Fusion?
Hello, I'm a Mac user, and I would like to use FaceRig on my Mac. So I was wondering if it's possible to run Facerig by using VM Fusion (boot camp run Windows 7 or XP)?

btw, my Mac OS X is Ysemite 10.10

Does anyone run FaceRig on VM? thanks in advance.

FaceRig is not supported officially on VM Fusion on Mac at this moment and any success you might have with it is solely on your merit. Make sure you come back and let us know if you decided to try it out, we'd love to hear how it went.

Also another note: you will need the windows 7 version, since FaceRig doesn't work on the normal XP, so also not on the VM-Fusion XP

Thank you both, if I try to run it with VM fusion, I will let you know the result. Btw, really looking forward to the Mac version..

So, any luck on this? I've tried my luck using a 256MB video memory allowed Win7x64 VM on VMWare Workstation, however I wasn't able to get the program to ever launch. I may try again at some time using Virtual Box.

My OS is linux, and a native linux version doesn't seem to be in the works any time soon at all, if ever. I don't have much hope for developers who say "it's planned" because that offers no commitment at all, just an appeasing statement to make people believe that it will one day come. Commitment comes with a plan, and a plan can easily have a date attached.

Another option, something I've set up a spare laptop for. You can install this[winswitch.org] piece of software and open the window of the program from Windows onto OSX. I'm not sure how performance would compare, though.

I have heard of someone having success with getting this running through WINE as well.

When I tried to use WINE, I just managed the opening, but not the running. So it was a black window for me, presumably working.
