Avatar/tutorial idea
So, I know there have been a couple of requests from artists for a tutorial on rigging an avatar, but since the artists are also very busy creating avatars, props and the like (and no, that is not a bad thing, the opposite of it ectually :P) I was thinking, what would be the easiest human-esque shape to rig up.
Then, when watching things like this, it suddenly hit me: a stick(wo)man!

Stickman, even in 3D, are just orbs/circles and tubes/lines, figures that are also the base of a lot of avatars, just not refined out further.

So the suggestion being that, whenever there is some time to create a tutorial, make it about the creation of a stickman (which is very fitting to the video :steammocking: ) which doesn't take very long to create the shape off to get it ready for rigging and recording, and on top of that would make a nice avatar for within FaceRig itself (especially with the motion aditions).

After the basic of the idea, a couple of (later) aditionional idea's to go along with this could be:
Make the color of the stickman changable, possible per-part
Give the stickman some (basic, slightly moving) hair or a beard.
Show in further tutorials some more (in my opinion as a non-artist) advanced things like shine, bending (stretching and contracting of the skin of the elbow for example), restricting movability, etc. (artists most likely know best what is/isn't hard to do ;) )

That's actually a great idea. I'll see what we can do (:
