Some Suggestions - more hotkeys, templates, workflow shortcuts
Hey there Team FaceRig/Holotech Studios,

thank you for the Halloween update, I am really enjoing the new props and stuff.

Oh and, happy Halloween/Samhain,day of the death, Reformationstag everyone xD

Have a wall of suggestions to celebrate!
(sorry for that; got the day off and therefore have some sparetime)

Also, I did not want to spam the suggestions-sub with multiple new topics on every single suggestion. But if you would prefer that, I could change it.

A) Missing Fluffo-presets:
- Fluffo with custom t-shirt, but original fur colors?
- Fluffo with t-shirt/custom t-shirt and noGlasses.

B) With these much different avatar options (just look at the amount of different fluffos)
maybe an overhaul/pro version of the preset-menu would be good.

Like a dropdown menu with radio buttons(one choice) for:
- color preset: vanilla
custom
rainbow
and so on

- body: bandana
vanilla
custom
t-shirt
vanilla
custom

- hat: no hat
forhead googles
bowler
and so on

- eyes: [..]

- [..]

C) hotkey/toggle for talking to audience

A hotkey or a toggle would be nice to artificial achieve it, that your avatar, for as long as that hotkey is hold, keeps looking at the camera/viewport origin.

Scenario 1:
Imagine yourself explain something directly to the viewer - like pointing out a detail or setting a verbal footnote. And therefore you want to look at the camera/viewport origin - straight and constant - like directly into the viewers head; no matter what or from what angle
But because of you kinda slightly moving the head or bad lighting or just unfavorable pre-calibrating, facerig can't hold that gaze and is twitching around or straight watching somewhere else (which you did not realize at that moment, because your looking at the camera and not at the screen)

Scenario 2:
You prepared some topics/keywords/facts on a second screen or hand written note, to support you, while performing. But you don't want, that your avatar changes it's gaze at the screen/camera, while you are peeking at these notes.

C2) Alternative for Scenario 1: some kind of deadzone or automatic behavior, which let the avatar stick to the camera gaze, when the real life persons gaze is just close enough to dead center,

D) Drama presets plus hotkeys

For example, if, in a facerig live performance, I would want to say:
"[..]they finally reached....THE CASTLE!" *sfx thunder rolls*

On saying "the castle", I would like to be able to hit a hotkey/toggle, so facerig would instantly load a preset,
where the avatar is more zoomed in, the camera angle is more from below,
the ambient light is switched off, while a spotlight is pointing up from below, light a flashlight to the face.

Bonus: If I let go of the toggle the normal preset would return
(But this could also be achieved, by another hotkey or return-to-previous key)

E) A way to save/load every custom change at once

I'm using facerig in different games/scenarios alternating through out the week and these are not one-time uses. So I need to come back to some very specific settings.

Avatar, Avatar customization, avatar movement restrictions,Background, camera angle, lights, everything

So, starting facerig and just need to load ONE save for everything would be a really big relief.

F) Fluffo moveable/preset-able body and feet position
does not have to be animated, just setable. Like fluffo sitting with legs bend or leaning (against an invisible wall), stuff like that

G) A hotkey for just keeping the UI hidden, no matter what
Had to redo multiple recordings ( and still had to keep some), where I did not noticed that me moving the cursor out of the facerig-window unhid the UI. This can get really frustrating, if you notice it an recorde hour later.

H) ...eh... no wait, I think, this was everything...

Phew, sorry for that, but these are some ideas one get, while being a heavy user of your product ;)

By the way, thank you very much, Team FaceRig, for regulary likeing and retweeting my facerig-related tweets. This always lightens up my day, in regards, that I am a really small fish in a really big pond.

Hi Ludd, thanks for the suggestions and the support you've shown our team! We really appreciate it.
My replies are below (:

Well actually we encourage content creators to either re-texture existing models, either make their own. So we did leave a few options available exactly so that users would start making their personal versions for their own uses.
Here's how you can change the texture: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/274920/discussions/6/613935403970614285/

I have to be honest, this is a more complex task and it would require a lot of development on our part. And with our current projects and resources, it's not something we can commit to.

We already have the Look At Camera option which you can select from the Avatar Gallery => Behavior => Enable Look at Camera. You should try it out (:

We'll add this to our suggestions list, just keep in mind that we first have to finish our current projects. So it may take a while.

We already have something like this. Please read this guide:

This would mean that we have to make a completely new Fluffo avatar which is sitting down. We can't just make a few tweaks here and there to be able to do this.

You could use the Separate Window as it was designed specially for users who do not want to show the interface.
Go to General Options to enable it (:

You really read my abomination of a suggestion post.
Thank you very much. xD

Well, Summary:

A) Missing Fluffo-presets:
But, how to strip the forehead glasses? o_O"
Nah, nevermind, I get along with it.

B) Yeah, thought so xD
Thanks for considering anyways.

D) No need to rush. ...Someday... :D

F) Nah, no new one. Just the fullbody version with moveable joints - poseable.
I would totally by such a DLC ;D

==========

This is the embarassing part for me:

C) talking to audience
"Avatar Gallery => Behavior => Enable Look at Camera"

E) A way to save/load every custom change at once
"We already have something like this"

G) "Separate Window for users who do not want to show the interface"

Did not find these settings before hand. Totally have to look it up and test it.

==========

You gave me a lot of stuff to try out and think about. Will see
