Tracking from video files other than .avi

Would be nice to be able to track from formats other than .avi. Those avis really chew up the hdd space xD

I'm wondering if this can be done as well. Currently, I do not own a webcam but am planning on soon. In the meantime though, I'd like to make some nice recordings for this program. Problem is that I have to convert from .mp4 to .avi.

.avi files are containers, meaning they can contain any codec you like, not just uncompressed video. Check with your video editing software.

Still, mp4/h264 is the standard format these days.

That's probably platform-dependent, most of my videos are either AVI/H.264 or MKV/H.264.

Well, I have mp4 from my phone and mov from my dslr... and any try to convert my videos to avi results in facerig doing nothing, please add support for mp4/mov
