I don't know how the SDK process of kinect works (or if it works like this at all), but i know it is possible. I have the kinect installed and everything, but i cant get it to read as a webcam, HOWEVER, games like Gmod have a kinect option that uses at as such.

So my sugestion is, possibly looking into that... I bet at least a good amount of people have a Kinect, and it is a nice camera with its FPS and Quality.
