But if they don't agree, the modders sure will do it for them, lol.
That's $2,000,000,000.
Microsoft isnt buying minecraft, they are buying mojang.(trying to)
A name that millions upon millions of people know and recognize.
Minecraft is greatly depreciated in value at this point. The company name and image however, is an invaluable marketing tool.
Point being mojang does not lose anything by selling themselves and losing minecraft. The company is dead in the water.
Unless you are into their card game thing. But I hardly consider it a success of any sorts.
When a company goes from a multibillion dollar gaming sensation to whatever scrolls is trying to be....there are some real issues.
-----------------------------------------------------
All those characters would be fun to have though
As for Mojang... Yeah, good luck with that .-.
mojang is doing nothing modders havnt done months before.
You would think a billion dollar company would be able to do more.
That aside, myy point was, the excitment and rush about minecraft is vastly dead. Most people that would buy the game already have purchased it.
Very few people are excited or know about the game scrolls.
Mojang is digging itself a hole, riding on what success they had with minecraft.
Mojang has already had minecraft priced at 60$ in the past. There is no way microsoft could really beat that.
From a buyers perspective, minecraft is not nearly significant as the name and branding involved.
Microsoft makes a new game, pushes it out with the name mojang-creators of minecraft advertisments, and millions will swarm to it none the wiser.
The minecraft community being so modder friendly though, I would expect some decent mods to come over this way.
Already possible. Look up one of the tutorials.
