The problem with this is that there are 100's of types of camera's and they all use different types of control, which makes FaceRig itself bloaty, costs a lot of time/money to create with little to show for and sometimes it's even impossible if the camera is locked to only accept control from it's own program.

First sorry for resurrecting a dead thread, but it's the only one I've seen relevant to the issue and it didn't make sense to start a new one.

Is this still a feature that the development team consider not worth their time and the PR team consider unwanted by your customers? Isn't there some singular API command common to a majority of cameras that can be used for this?

This would be rather complicated to implement so that it works for ALL webcam so it's not a priority in development. Furthermore, it's a feature that's only been requested a couple of times so it's most likely not something we will be working on in the near future
