Hello,

I need assisstance to fix this issue. I have re-installed the software 3 times, verified the integrity of application files, and tried to run Facerig manually, but I still have this problem. It would be greatly appreciated if I was provided support of the situation. Thank you! :steamhappy:

Hello, this issue usually pops up when FaceRig's prerequisites haven't been installed correctly. Go to <steamInstallDir>\steamapps\common\FaceRig\_CommonRedist\ and re-install all of the redistributables found there, for both x64 and x86. Let us know how it goes and if it works. If not, we'll need some files such as a .dwi in order to investigate this matter.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure where to find
"<steamInstallDir>\steamapps\common\FaceRig\_CommonRedist\." If you could guide me through screenshots, I think I would understand. Sorry for the trouble.

The "<SteamInstallDir>" placeholder refers to the partition on which you installed Steam. Now, the _CommonRedist folder can be found either in the FaceRig folder, or, Steam can also place it in Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared. To reach that path easier, you can go to Steam > right click on FaceRig > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files; this will open the path where FaceRig is installed and you should find the _CommonRedist folder there. If it's not, just click on "common" in the window's search bar.

Am I supposed to see the, _CommonRedist folder, here?

Steam can also place the _CommonRedist folder in the "common" folder, since other Steam games need redistributables found there. So, if it's not in the FaceRig folder, it should be in the "common" one.

It was not in the "common" folder, but I did find it through the FaceRig folders. If it is not the same folder, please correct me or confirm that it is. I re-installed all of the redistributables found there, for both x64 and x86, but it did not work.

That is not the folder, no. You should have at least a "Steamworks Shared" folder in steamapps\common. Go to Steam > Library > Software > Right Click on FaceRig > Properties > Local Files, then click on "Verify Integrity of Application Files". Doing this should install missing files.

I tried this already, but it did not work. Is there anything else I could do?

Download the vcredist 2013 from Microsoft and install it. Furthermore, go to Steam\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Bin and launch FaceRig.exe with admin rights. Let us know of the error message it returns.

Hello, help please run Face Rig exe. indicates that the code cannot be continued because the system did not detect VCOMP100.DLL. To resolve this issue, try reinstalling the program. - It does not help

The vcomp.dll files are provided by Microsoft and are part of the application development toolset, so these files need to be installed on the system with a proper redistributable installer, like the ones provided in the _CommonRedist/ folder of the app. By this I mean that you should install the VS2010 or VS2008 redistributables found in the said "_CommonRedist" folder.

It it does not work for you, please start a different thread detailing the problem and we'll take it from there.
