FaceRig is not launching
Hello,

I am a Mac user using the Parallels Desktop 14 to run the Window 10.

Last week I did launch the FaceRig successfully for the first time I test the virtual machine. But then today the program didn't launch anymore. I am not sure if it relates to any window updates.

When I try to launch it directly in the folder, the error message 'The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP120.dll was not found reinstalling the program may fix this problem.' is shown. I have tried reinstalling, manually downloading the .dll file and also installing the Visual C++ 2013. None of them fix the problem.

The virtual machine should work with FaceRig as it did successfully launch once before.

Here is my VP.txt file found inside the FaceRig folder.

And also my DxDiag:

Please help, thank you.

Hello, navigate to <SteamInstallDir>\steamapps\common\FaceRig\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2013 and install the vcredist installer for both x64 and x86. Furthermore, we haven't tested ourselves FaceRig on Virtual Machines, and so we can't know for sure what is causing your problem.

Thank you for your answer. However, my FaceRig folder doesn't contain a /_CommonRedist folder. It only has /Bin, /Mod, Coherent_UI.txt, installScript.vdf and VP.txt

Steam should have installed that folder too. It's tricky with Virtual Machines, as we haven't tested FaceRig on them and so we can't say for sure what happens.

Right-click on FaceRig in Library, then on the LOCAL FILES tab then, finally, on "Verify Integrity of Application Files"; the CommonRedist folder should appear then.
